Shamokin Area Community Hospital is restricting visitation of all children up to age 18 effective October 23, 2009, and throughout the influenza season. SACH has taken this action to protect our patients and staff from the novel H1N1 Swine Flu outbreak. We thank the community for their understanding in this situation and ask for your cooperation. We will also be restricting visitation for patients admitted with the influenza.

If an effort to provide our community with the most accurate information regarding the transmission of Swine Flu, the following links have been added to our website. Shamokin Area Community Hospital is urging the community to be proactive in preventative healthcare measures to contain the spread of type A influenza viruses, specifically Swine Influenza. Please take a moment to review the information available to you here, and we encourage you to follow the guidelines to shield yourself from Swine Flu exposure.
